{"id":12852,"date":"2016-02-15T09:54:04","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T08:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/test.theeatculture.com\/en\/?p=12852"},"modified":"2016-02-15T09:55:04","modified_gmt":"2016-02-15T08:55:04","slug":"the-book-on-the-nightstand-pictors-metamorphoses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.theeatculture.com\/en\/the-book-on-the-nightstand-pictors-metamorphoses\/","title":{"rendered":"THE BOOK ON THE NIGHTSTAND: PICTOR&#8217;S METAMORPHOSES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a love story written by the poetry of the heart.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hermann Hesse dedicates it to Ruth Wenger, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">his love that moves the sun and other stars<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the opera singer that makes him rediscover love becoming his second wife.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The manuscript is named &#8220;Pictor&#8217;s metamorphoses\u201d and just like a painter, the author embellishes with wonderful illustrations that blend with the words of the text.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bright colors, the paradise lights where the main character &#8211; Pictor &#8211; search happiness <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">full of yearning and ancient joy.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> He\u2019s fascinated by what, in front of his eyes, continually changes shape &#8211; flowers, butterflies, birds &#8211; wishing to himself to change; when they are given him the chance, he chooses to being a tree because &#8211; as he said &#8211; trees are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">so full of peace, of strength and dignity.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But when he begins to look at the world with his new eyes something changes.
