Light, in December, is a reality made of happiness and pastel colors such as Studio Snowpuppe.
Located in The Hague, Netherlands, Snowpuppe Studio is made up of the architect Nellianna Van Den Baard and industrial designer Kenneth Veenenbos. Together they produce, design and distribute handmade lamps in small series, using natural materials such as paper and wood. Their goal? Transform, through paper, the cold light of energy-saving light bulbs in a soft, warm light, able to envelop the environments in which is placed.
The Studio Snowpuppe lamps however, are not only handmade and sustainable. They are also a wonder to behold. Inspired by nature – like the waves of the sea, chestnuts or butterflies – they reinterpreted in a modern key the ancient art of origami. Each model is available in classic black or white and in a multitude of pastel nuances. Even the cord color is customizable.
This is the light that I like. This is definitely the design that I like. Fresh, new, sustainable and never dull.
